About BallyRock

Why
is our kennel named BallyRock? The name BallyRock is a favorite place of
mine in Northern Ireland, hence the name for
our kennel. I have visited there many
of times. My family and family roots are in Northern Ireland.
I have been in the pet world for around
30 yrs. As a teenager I worked in vet clinics
and I still do. I have been a dog groomer
for 23 yrs. I work part time grooming, and
work in a vet clinic along side very special
doctors whom have taught me so much in the
last 14 years. All our dogs get the very best of
care. We respect and trust the
veterinarians, Dr. Stephen Hess, Dr. Debbie
Hrynkiw, and Dr. Renée Jones, and staff of
the Acton Veterinarian Clinic, located in
Acton, Ontario Canada. You will not
find a better group of experts, and we do
mean experts, anywhere that
care for animals. Their in depth
knowledge of dogs, cats, and other pocket
pet animals is second to none, and you will
find they go out of their ways to ensure
that you and you pet receive the best
possible care, treatment and information
that is currently available regarding
ANYTHING to do with animals.
All of our
dogs, live in the house with us
and our 3 cats. They are all my pets first. Our
3 cats we took home from the clinic. Autumn
just showed up at our front door the first
day of Autumn, hence her name. When we
found her owner she didn't want her so she
moved in to our house. She has never looked
back. You can read a bit more about our pets
in the pet profile section of our website.
The
Bullmastiffs ... a.k.a. 'Da Bullies'
A very good friend of mine,
Helene Hansmann of Knatchbull, has
bullmastiffs, and we believe that Helene is
the foremost authority here in Canada/North America
regarding bullmastiffs, I always liked the breed but
being around them more really got me to
wanting one. So on a Friday afternoon, we did
the drive to Bomenville and brought home
Bounty Hunter Bow. He was already 45lbs at
12 weeks and quickly became my pride and
joy. I started showing him doing well.
Watching him grow has been the best. He
keeps getting bigger. I loved the breed so
much, Eden arrived to our loving home in Jan. 2007. I have
been
showing her and we are working on obtaining
her title.
The German Shepherds
The GSD's happened because Mark loves that
breed. He has owned them since he was a
child. We have River, our foundation stud, who was the first
in our kennel to
obtain his
Canadian Championship. With the help of
Edgar Rojas handling him it was just after
his first birthday. River's achievements in
the ring kind of spoiled us, as River racked
up the points, and made quite the impression
on us, and everyone at the shows also. Mark had also decided on
getting another GSD, along came Asta. Asta
is all German working lines. We even got her from a
German man. This girl never tires, trust us
we have tried everything!. We
are waiting to show her in confirmation as
it will bore her ...
So the story goes on ...
